We are currently looking for a Construction Representative to join us around Boston, MA. In this role, youll be responsible for the overseeing and coordinating all aspects of CPL's construction related services on specific projects. Preference will be given to those candidates with educational building project experience.
Responsibilities:Were looking for construction representatives/project managers who are organized, have a keen eye for the details and have led and managed complex projects during construction on time and on budget. Youre good at building strong, trusting client relationships and have a knack for bringing the right people together to come up with innovative ideas and solutions.
You have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the construction process from the owners perspective, advanced knowledge of the project management process practiced by the architects, engineers, and other consultants, and are experienced at managing all of these dynamics.
You have the ability to provide quality control and daily coordination at project sites in addition to attending job meetings, developing meeting minutes, providing daily inspection and documentation, conducting change order reviews, and occupancy and move-in coordination.
You manage the process and ensure the clients goals and objectives are being addressed and met within the financial and schedule parameters for multiple stakeholders. Your strengths include identifying, assessing, and mitigating issues related to scheduling, logistics, sequencing, cost, quality and progress as well as negotiating claims and change orders.
You are skilled at reviewing and evaluating project related materials such as project descriptions, drawings and specifications, budgets, schedules, contracts, and proposals for services prepared by others, as well as reviewing construction documents on a regular basis for conformance to project goals, value engineering and constructability.
You are experienced in developing project related documents such as monthly reports, budgets, schedules, presentations, minutes, insurance tracking logs, etc. and reviewing documents prepared by internal team members for accuracy and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:A Bachelors degree preferably in engineering, architecture, or construction management. At least 5 years of experience in construction, architecture, or mechanical/electrical field projects Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation Demonstrated knowledge of the client relations, design, construction and FF&E process Demonstrated ability to manage various tasks, schedules, and deliverables Enthusiasm to promote and drive implementation of projects Professionally recognized designations are considered a strong asset
Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills Proficient in MS Project, Word, PowerPoint and MS Excel
