**Job Title: Construction Restoration Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking construction employees to work on our construction restoration team. Our services include restoration and remodeling for commercial, insurance, and residential clients throughout Iowa and the Midwest. Responsibilities include emergency response, water extraction, drying/dehumidification, construction services, catastrophe response, contents restoration, environmental services, fire & smoke damage restoration and repair, water damage repair, and flood damage repair. Daily tasks can include demolition and repair of materials damaged by wind, rain, fire, and smoke. You will perform tasks such as framing, drywall, taping/mudding/sanding, painting, flooring/carpet installation, countertop installation, door and window installation, and siding installation. Training is provided for those not skilled in specific areas, and skilled employees are encouraged to train others.
**Hard Skills**
+ 1 year experience utilizing hand and power tools in a construction atmosphere
+ 1 year experience in framing, drywall, flooring, cabinet install, countertop install, siding, painting
+ Must have own tool bag and know how to use framing hammer, speed square, retractable utility knife, 30 ft tape measure

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
**Work Site**
This is a fully on-site position in Grimes, Iowa.
**Work Environment**
This is a fully on-site position in Grimes, Iowa. Hours are 7:30am 4:00pm Monday Friday. Employees are on call for a week each month starting Monday and ending Sunday after 4pm. On-call duties may result in 1-5 calls per month. The company provides all job materials and vehicles with gas cards. Personal vehicle use is allowed under certain conditions with proper documentation. This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 months. Our Client does not expect or push any of our techs to do anything outside of their comfort zone. They always encourage them to give it the 'ol college try' if they are willing. But they will always make sure someone with the skill is around to assist or teach. They try to cross train all our techs, so they are well-rounded in every aspect of the job. They provide all materials for jobs, so techs are not responsible for getting screws or nails or anything of that sort. They do not reimburse if a tech purchases something for a job with their own money. They have accounts with multiple retailers around the area and provide everything that is needed for a job. They also do not reimburse for gas of any sort. They provide vehicles for every tech to go to the jobs, also provide a gas card for every vehicle. There are certain circumstances where a tech may be working on a job near their house, and we will allow them to take their personal vehicle to the job site. But we require a picture and time stamp when they leave to provide evidence of them working until they say.
