Your best fit for this position The ideal candidate will be responsible The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safety protocols and procedures on the construction sites. Ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards, conducting safety training and inspections, and acting as the primary safety resource for both English and Spanish-speaking employees. This role is essential in promoting a safe and productive work environment for all team members.
Your daily challenges and goals
* Implement, monitor, and continuously improve company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
* Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments on active construction sites to ensure OSHA and company compliance.
* Lead and conduct safety training sessions for all employees, including toolbox talks, safety orientations, and specialized safety programs.
* Serve as the primary safety liaison between English-speaking and Spanish-speaking teams to ensure effective communication and understanding of safety protocols.
* Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
* Maintain safety records, documentation, and reporting in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
* Assist in the development and review of job hazard analyses (JHAs) and site-specific safety plans.
* Collaborate with project management teams to integrate safety into daily operations and project planning.
* Stay updated with local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices to ensure company compliance.
What do you need to succeed in this Role?
* Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering / Construction from four - year college or university. / PMP certification as a plus.
* OSHA 30 Certification in Construction Safety.
* OSHA 500 Certification. Outreach Trainer for the Construction Industry (Preferred).
* Proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
* 3+ years of experience in construction safety management, ideally within commercial concrete or a similar industry.
* Ability to travel to multiple job sites as required and work flexible hours as necessary.
* Valid driver's license.
* Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, regulations, and requirements for the construction industry.
* Ability to conduct safety training in both English and Spanish.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
