Job DescriptionConstruction Health & Safety ManagerSalary: $60/hr DOE Industry: Construction/AECLocation: Lewiston, NY 14092Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PMEmployment Type: Contract-to-HireOverview:Our client is now hiring an on-site construction safety manager for various electrical construction projects consisting of electric substation breaker upgrades, relay upgrades, and generating station upgrades; various civil construction projects consisting of concrete structure rehabilitations, demolitions, and earthworks; and mechanical projects consisting of equipment upgrades and overhead crane upgrades.Requirements:
- BS Degree in a basic science or technical degree in the field of EHS management, or additional relevant experience in EH&S is required.
- Minimum 8-10+ years of related construction safety experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software (systems used are Microsoft Office, intra/internet, etc.) including helping to implement the EHS Electronic Software Platform at the site.
Duties:
- Responsible for enforcing safety programs during construction.
- Responsible for development of activity hazard assessments,
- Responsible for contractor oversight.
- Responsible for review and management of safety submittals, safety documentation, safety audits, corrective actions, field change requests and daily on-site safety meetings.
