Bilfinger Inc. known as a leading provider of complex, comprehensive industrial services is seeking a Scheduler for our Alexandria, LA site. This position requires a self-motivated individual to assist with the detailed planning and scheduling of construction work, and ensure work is executed in line with safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets, as well as corporate and client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development of Milestone Schedules with the client
  • Create Project Schedules with the level of detail requested for project (Level 4-5).
  • Schedules to include long lead items, prework and project details.
  • Facilitate Pull Planning sessions when called out in PEP (Project Execution Plan)
  • Integrate multiple engineering information packages and develop detailed executional plans and other deliverables for the field labor, supervision and subcontracts.
  • Interpret and resolve workflow discrepancies, interferences, etc. within the schedule.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules for assigned projects, incorporating all phases from pre-construction to project closeout.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to create accurate schedules with input from stakeholders. Identify critical path and near critical path activities and potential risks; propose mitigation strategies to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Monitor progress against the schedule and provide regular updates to project teams and management.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to align their activities with project schedules.
  • Conduct schedule impact analysis for changes and deviations from the original plan.
  • Experience in using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) proficiently to create, update, and analyze schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines, contractual obligations, and scheduling best practices/standards.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must have a 2-year associate degree with an emphasis in construction or industrial management or 4 years of equivalent construction management work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a P6 project scheduler required
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Understanding of Lean Principles preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
