Job Description:
Construction Services Project ExpediterThis position ensuresConstruction Services (with an emphasis on Prefabrication) deadlines, schedulesand quotas are met by overseeing the project and construction servicesschedules, information, components and documentation including review andapprovals and by taking action to solve issues to fulfill deliverables andincrease prefabrication.Responsibilities:
  • Manage and communicate Construction Services andfield expectations to align.
  • Implement process and improvements. Managemeetings with internal clients, be the point person for both teams, assist withall deliverable scheduling (prefab, engineering and VDC) Construction ServicesQAQC and client feedback for improvements for best-in-class service.
  • Conductbusiness in accordance with PPC and Pieper Electric, Inc. mission and visionstatements.
  • Define scope of work on aweekly basis and forecast for 60 Days, create and maintain projectschedules and follow up often to the responsible parties. Analyze andforecast factors that affect results to maximum efficiency
  • .Developappropriate processes and strategies. Address obstacles in the way ofachieving the desired outcomes and lead times for projects.
  • Coordinate day-to-day - weekto week Construction Services objectives to meet project deadlines.Makefinal decisions for best company ROI for projects and Pieper Electric.
  • Define and assist PM'sand Field leaders with pre-planning requirements to perform C.S. duties.Pull forward their pre-planning tasks to become a priority. Assist withremoving the perceived hurdles in accomplishing these tasks.
  • Collaborate and communicatewith other branches, department supervisors and project teams.
  • Assist with development of software that increases client experienceand overall productivity.
  • Track and keep detailed meeting minutes, issues logs, deviationslogs, and responsibility matrices for projects.
  • Communicate at an extremelyhigh and professional level with clients and C.S. teams.
  • Be a point person and liaisonfor project teams, C.S. and manage the correspondence that happens in andout of sequence and realign teams.
  • Track and assist withdeliverables and communication of for VDC, Engineering, Prefabrication.
  • Responsible for schedulingmeetings for project and C.S. teams to align and collaborate on allscopes.
  • Communicate and consultlarger obstacles with both the project team and C.S. Branch Managers.
  • Give feedback to C.S. Manageron project prefabrication opportunities and project granular utilization.
  • Compose detailing drawingsfor prefabrication and field review for additional opportunities.
  • Develop and maintainrelationships in all regions and office locations for projects.
  • Limited travel but in personmeetings, working from job sites throughout the state will be required forlarger projects.
  • Build trust and customersatisfaction by quality performance and will be measured by surveys.
  • Stay current and aware ofelectrical code, software, materials, techniques and specifications toassist with best practices, ROI and installations.
  • Complete case studies,document and measure ROI's. Track, celebrate and market accolades andROI's to increase global utilization of C.S. This includes working withmarketing and creating power points.
  • Utilize pictures, examplesand templates from C.S. to assist with communicated capabilities as wellas define and create additional marketing concepts based on feedback.
Qualifications:This positionrequires a decisive leader with a passion for field and office communicationand technology utilization. A strong drive for construction project managementwork and knowledge of efficient construction processes. Must have a desire towork in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.
  • Bachelor's Degree inConstruction Management/Sciences, Engineering (electrical, mechanical,building science, etc.) or related discipline OR Journeyman electricianwith 5 years of field experience required or combination of botheducation and field experience.
  • 3-5 years experience with project management in the electrical construction industry.
  • Positive safety attitude andpersonal integrity - both are non-negotiable
  • Be highly customer-serviceoriented
