Job Title: Construction Site SuperintendentJob DescriptionThe Construction Site Superintendent will manage Construction Site Supervisors, assigning work, tracking progress, and ensuring adherence to approved scope, budget, and schedule. The role involves managing team project workload, leveraging team knowledge to establish equipment and design standards, and leading the commissioning of equipment and control systems. Responsibilities also include documenting scope and budgets, partnering with Supply Chain for materials and equipment, establishing project teams, and assisting in contractor relationship management, major repair planning, and large capital project design.ResponsibilitiesManage Construction Site Supervisors, assigning work and tracking progress.Ensure adherence to approved scope, budget, and published schedule.Manage team project workload for equitable distribution of work and leveraging individual strengths.Leverage team knowledge to establish equipment and design standards.Lead the commissioning of equipment and control systems.Document project scope and budgets.Partner with Supply Chain for best cost of materials and equipment.Establish project teams with input from impacted functional groups.Ensure thorough communication via monthly reports, project meetings, and discussions.Assist in managing contractor relationships.Partner with M&R manager for major repair planning and budgeting.Assist in the design and planning of large capital projects.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsConstruction managementCommercial constructionSite constructionTwo- or four-year degree in a construction-related field preferred or 5+ years of industry experienceExperience with PLCs, VFDs, MCCsCapital project management experience with budgets >$3MExperience with MS Project, contracting, bid development packages, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-upKnowledge of building, electrical, and safety codesHigh level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacyAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh level of communication with engineering service providers, asset department leadership, and sub-contractorsWillingness to work a minimum of a 5-day and 40-hour workweek with potential for additional hoursUnderstanding of production operations and biosecurity protocolsAbility to clean company vehicle equipment to meet biosecurity requirementsSupport and contribute to assigned work completion through labor or leadershipAssist and collaborate with other departments as neededProficiency with MS Outlook, MS Project, Word, Smartsheet, and ExcelObserve, promote, and enforce safety policiesCorrect and report any observed safety hazardsComplete specified paperwork on time, including work orders, time sheets, purchase orders, inventory logs, and mileage reportsMaintain professional relationships with stakeholders and subcontractorsWhy Work Here?We offer comprehensive medical coverage, including health and dental insurance plans for employees.
