The Construction Site Superintendent is responsible for field supervision and coordinating all aspects related to the construction of assigned residential, light commercial, and other construction projects Responsibilities:
- Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and requirements for each phase of construction
- Communicates project requirements to the Residential Construction Manager
- Ensures the project master schedules are followed
- Confers with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to resolve complaints and disputes
- Confers with supervisory and management personnel, inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction conflicts and improve construction methods
- Inspects work in progress to ensure the adherence to construction schedules and that workmanship conforms to specifications
- Ensures that the health and safety company policies, as well as all OSHA guidelines, are followed in every aspect of construction
- Performs all duties in adherence to Company standards
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience working in a production home environment for a residential homebuilder constructing at least 150 homes per year required
- 5+ years of construction supervisory experience preferred
- 5+ years of related experience in residential production in a similar capacity preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be able to read, write and understand English with strong written and verbal business communication and presentation skills
- Computer skills required
- Ability to schedule all tasks involved in the construction process of single-family homes
- Excellent subcontractor and field supervision leadership capabilities
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and all construction documentation
- Excellent time management skills
