Job Description:
Joseph J. Albanese, Inc., is seeking to add a Small Tools Lead with construction or rental tools knowledge and experience to our team. This position will oversee the Small Tools Department and Dispatch and will be responsible for the supervision and vision necessary to ensure efficiencies in the small tools section of the warehouse. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepares all tools and equipment according to specifications before they go out for delivery to job sites.
  • Performs equipment check-in / check-out; Inspects all rental equipment for damage when it comes back from a jobsite.
  • Responsible for updating the missing or broken tools report daily.
  • Record service or repair activities.
  • Work with the Purchasing Department to maintain small tools inventory at all times.
  • Responsible for small tools inventory management, inventory receivables and the ability to provide weekly reports.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of work area.
NOTE: These duties listed are meant to describe the general scope of the work. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs within the organization. QUALIFICATONS:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Knowledge of construction small tools equipment (i.e. skilsaw, bulldog tools).
  • 5+ years of large quantity small tools management and distribution experience required (3,500+ tools).
  • 5+ years of directly managing employees and inventory control processes (receiving, organizing and coordination of deliveries.
  • Knowledge of cycle counting and the ability to apply it to the small tools inventory.
  • Experience using a software inventory management system for small tools equipment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including HCSS, Vista and MS Office applications preferred.
  • Minimum of High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to create and implement cost-saving measures throughout the small tools department.
  • Ability to multi-task and have strong organization skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain vendor relations.
  • Strong work ethic, team player, ability to work with minimal supervision.
OTHER:
  • Ability to stand for long period of times.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed.
  • Ability to work in warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
