Job Description:
DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities:Responsible for the overall accounting functions for multiple properties to include:•Driving excellence for timely and accurate accounting.•Ability and knowledge to prepare & analyze monthly profit & loss statements.•Prepare journal entries, detailed reports, reconciliations and perform other accounting functions in accordance with policies, procedures, and deadlines.•Assist with projects as required by Corporate Controller.Must be willing and able to sign Aatmos' non-disclosure and non-compete agreementsPrimary Functions:Construction Accounting Responsibilities:•Maintain accurate records of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes.•Track all Construction cost against budget and keep up to date•Report any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.•Maintain electronic billing folders for all projects with the appropriate documents, including monthly waivers and invoices.•Prepare and organize various reports, financial forms, and analyses.•Process development & construction invoices including consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and supplier bills.•Review the process for proper coding of construction invoices/payment applications and lien releases for contractors, subcontractors, and vendor invoices.•Perform month end close process for development & construction books preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.Corporate Accounting Responsibilities:•Meet all processing and reporting deadlines.•Resolve account payable issues or queries as requested.•Complete monthly state and local tax filings for each property in a timely manner.•Be knowledgeable of all SOPs for the development & construction accounting area.•Perform other duties as assigned by Corporate Controller which includes but is not limited to:o Balance sheet reconciliationso Bank reconciliationso Payrollo AuditsRequirementsRequirements: College or higher-level educationMinimum 4+ years of general accounting experience, including 2+ year's experience in Construction accounting. Hotel accounting, is a plus.Must have Microsoft Office experience with excellent Excel skillsQuickBooks experience is a plus but not required.Must have excellent communication & organization skillsMust be able to work independently and make sound business decisions
