Position Summary:

ISI Professional Services is looking for an experienced Construction Submittal Coordinator with expertise in the construction industry to provide Owner's Representative construction management services to a DoD client. The Submittal Coordinator will work to support a DOD client looking to manage the construction of a new Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Currency Production Facility (CPF) to provide a modern, secure, and innovative facility for the manufacturing of United States currency for the BEP. The Facility will occupy a 104-acre site in Beltsville, Maryland. The construction project is comprised of a primary building with a footprint of approximately one million square feet. The program consists of a manufacturing hall and support spaces, laboratory/research spaces, a warehouse, vaults, a firing range, a tour area for visitors and visitor/vehicle screening outbuildings.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Submittal Coordinator to join our team on this large-scale federal construction project to oversee the processing, tracking, and managing of contractor submittals, ensuring all documentation complies with project requirements. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, strong organizational skills, and experience with construction management software.

Essential Job Functions

Submittal Processing: Receive and distribute contractor submittals to appropriate reviewers, compile responses, and return to the contractor. Maintain detailed logs of all submittals in the Resident Management System (RMS) or other project management platforms.

Project Documentation: Analyze architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design drawings, specifications, submittals, and cut sheets, documenting findings and providing comments or recommendations to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

Coordination: Organize and facilitate meetings between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and contractors to review submittals and address any issues. Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.

Documentation Management: Process construction-related paperwork including Requests for Information (RFIs), contractor payrolls, Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), payment applications, and other submittal-related documents, ensuring any discrepancies are reported promptly to the COR.

Issue Resolution: Address any issues related to submittals and project documentation quickly and accurately, providing written notifications and solutions to the COR

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction administration roles, with a focus on managing, processing, and tracking project documentation.

Software: Experience with construction management software such as Procore, e-Builder, or similar platforms is required. Familiarity with RMS is preferred.

Projects: Experience with large-scale commercial construction projects is required. Previous experience on federal or USACE projects is strongly preferred.

Education: No minimum education requirement. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but can be substituted with extensive relevant experience.

Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with project stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with federal construction standards and documentation practices, including USACE processes.

Proficiency in using Resident Management System (RMS) or similar project management software.
