Our team of experienced architects, project managers, and builders excels in bringing visions to life through cutting-edge design and expert construction services. We have worked on a diverse range of custom homes across San Diego, mastering various architectural styles and materials. We seek a highly skilled Superintendent to manage project operations and contribute to our ongoing success and expansion. Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all projects meet high-quality standards and manage subcontractor purchase orders and change orders.
  • Use and complete the Superintendent's checklist binder; set expectations and share drawings with subcontractors and employees.
  • Inspect work in progress and upon completion for quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain updated plans with approved changes and build according to architectural, structural, and civil plans.
  • Request and approve samples and shop drawings for off-site fabrication.
  • Schedule and pass all required code and special inspections.
  • Update daily workflow on a whiteboard and maintain a 6-week outlook; notify subcontractors of schedule dates in advance.
  • Ensure project readiness for each phase and coordinate subcontractor activities to avoid delays.
  • Facilitate information flow between design team, client, and construction crews; use concise and well-written emails and texts.
  • Conduct design team meetings with written agendas and hold subcontractor meetings at the start of each phase.
  • Maintain daily logs, take photos for documentation, create as-built plans, and compile information for the Homeowner's Manual.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings, maintain required safety equipment, and report injuries and safety issues to the office.
Qualifications:
  • 5 -10 years of construction Management experience
  • Previous experience managing residential or commercial construction projects
  • Demonstrated capability to successfully manage construction projects in the range of $2 - $15 million -dollar range
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively train and mentor others
  • Prioritize, develop, and maintain project schedules
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in project scheduling and management
  • Strong background in quality control processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Knowledge of construction estimating techniques
  • Ability to manage, build, and contract construction projects effectively
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and BuildTrend
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus!
