The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing commercial new construction projects with contract values of $10M+ across various sectors, including industrial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, commercial, and more. This position will provide leadership and oversight on projects, ensuring all aspects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Company Overview: Our Client operates as a general contractor specializing in commercial design and construction services. They work closely with real estate developers, building owners, architects, brokers, and tenants to provide comprehensive solutions, including preconstruction, project management, construction supervision, and post-construction services. With a strong focus on delivering excellence in every project, they specialize in new construction and tenant improvement (TI) projects. They have been serving the industry since 2000, with offices based in Houston, Texas, and a growing presence in the Dallas market. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage commercial construction projects: Lead and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring the project is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Supervise subcontractors and crews: Coordinate daily activities, monitor work performance, and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Safety management: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and protocols, promoting a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.
- Project documentation: Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, safety logs, and progress updates.
- Coordinate with project teams: Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Schedule and resource management: Ensure materials, labor, and equipment are available to meet the project schedule.
- Quality control: Ensure that all work meets or exceeds company and industry standards for quality.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, specifically in commercial new construction projects with a value of $10M+.
- Proven track record in managing industrial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, community, and office projects.
- Strong understanding of project management and construction supervision.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
- Experience in coordinating and supervising multiple subcontractors and crews on large-scale projects.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Local to Dallas, Texas.
