Job Description:
Summary Arcadis DPS Group is seeking experienced Construction Superintendents to join our team in support of large complex construction projects for a confidential client located in Phoenix, AZ. The Construction Superintendent will work with the Project Manager as a primary field point of contact, manage tool install construction activities specific to each project and assigned discipline scope of work, coordinate and manage interactions between project teams and subcontractors to ensure, safety on time delivery of project scope for a higher education institute. Successful candidates will have strengths in construction project management related to scope for industrial high-tech manufacturing facilities projects, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in similar role and a minimum of 8 years of total experience, come from a related technical or trades background working with Project Management, Engineering, and Construction professionals, demonstrated success managing construction activities and subcontractors, thrive in a fast-paced professional environment supporting industrial high-tech client construction projects. This is not a remote position and will require the selected individual to be onsite at our client's location full time; and live within a commutable distance to the client's site in the Phoenix Metro area. Relocation assistance is available for selected candidates. Responsibilities
  • Management of assigned projects to agreed scope, cost, schedule, and quality. Delivery of project in line with budgeted man hours and margin targets.
  • Creation and execution of project work plans. Revision as appropriate to meet client/project needs.
  • Produce accurate and consistent project reports as per client and operations requirements.
  • Ensure all activities to be in full compliance to Client Standard Operating Procedures & policies.
  • Resolve any project issues in a timely manner. Escalate urgent issues as required.
  • Review and approve project deliverables with project team members in line with required quality standards.
  • Liaise closely with operation disciplines to determine project resource loading and monitor quality of team member performance. Prepare resource plans in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all project stakeholders are aware of deliverables, project status and key focus areas. Hold regular status meetings with project team.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to Management.
  • Ensure project field bulletins or whiteboards issued in a timely manner. Follow through on them to project completion.
  • Build strong client relationships with a view to establishing long-term, repeat business links. Develop constructive, proactive working relationships.
  • Actively support business development activities, participate in client presentations, and generate commercial proposals in response to customer RFQ's.
  • Support key organizational initiatives including Core Values, Codes of Practice & CPD.
  • Contribute actively to lessons learned process and other improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or related field preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience. Directly related professional experience will be considered in lieu of degreed education.
  • Direct experience in similar position supporting semiconductor facilities construction strongly preferred. Other relevant industrial high-tech project experience will be considered.
  • Software proficiency in MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, Procore, Bluebeam. Ability to learn and use a variety of software, tools, and systems necessary to meet business needs.
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal (English), attention to detail, proven problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record in managing all phases of a project from feasibility thru procurement, execution and commissioning.
  • Proven track record in multi discipline coordination and management.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, strong work ethic, flexible self-starter.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize key activities and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
