Construction Superintendent

We Search People are working with an excellent General Contractor based near North Hempstead, NY looking for a Construction Superintendent to join the team. The company specializes in Affordable Housing & Multi-family projects, mainly for NY Department of Design & Construction.
Responsibilities
- Working with the safety team to make sure all job sites are running up to local standards
- Make sure job sites are clean and tidy at all times
- Checking the quality of work to make sure it's up to company standards
- Setting a great example for all crew working on each project
- Daily reports on how projects are going
- Making sure all projects are running on time to the best standard you can
- Provide technical expertise to junior members of the team
- Working closely with the Project Management team
- Communicating with sub-contractors and the Owner
- Attend management meetings
- Ability to multi-task and run more than 1 project at a time
- Run projects from concept to completion
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 5-10+ years in a similar position
- Competent with Computer software (Microsoft & timberline)
- Experience managing site-safety
