Position Overview
As a Construction Superintendent specializing in commercial office interiors, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage the day-to-day operations of interior construction projects, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial office interiors, a strong leadership presence, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all phases of commercial office interior construction projects from start to completion.
- Ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Lead, coordinate, and manage on-site teams, including subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to provide updates on progress.
- Monitor project performance, quality, and safety, ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, materials, and labor for each project.
- Review and understand blueprints, specifications, and project plans, ensuring full implementation on-site.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
- Identify and proactively address issues that may arise during construction, providing solutions to maintain project flow.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure that all work meets regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a focus on commercial office interiors.
- Strong knowledge of interior build-out processes, materials, and systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades on-site.
- Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Proficiency in construction management software and technology is a plus.
- OSHA certification is preferred.
Salary Range based on experience.
