Job Description:

A premier high-end hospitality and restaurant General Contractor in South Florida, is seeking a skilled Superintendent to manage on-site operations for various projects. The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, ensuring the project remains on schedule, within budget, and is completed to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Project Executive, keeping them updated on project progress, reports, and schedules through Procore.
  • Communication & Documentation: Maintain open communication with your team and ensure all reports, daily logs, safety meetings, and schedule updates are shared promptly.
  • Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and costs, discussing any labor or material needs with the Project Manager before making decisions.
  • Permit & Pre-construction: Manage permit acquisitions, coordinate with subcontractors to pull necessary permits, and review all construction and permit drawings for accuracy.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Conduct job meetings, review shop drawings, and collaborate with subcontractors to ensure all phases of the project run smoothly.
  • Layout & Scheduling: Lead the layout process with subs, coordinating material and equipment needs, and ensuring the project stays on schedule with regular updates and meetings.
  • On-site Supervision: Maintain a constant presence on the job site during work hours, planning at least two weeks ahead to anticipate project needs and challenges.
  • Quality Control & Inspections: Ensure all work meets project specifications, code compliance, and quality standards. Manage inspections, review rough-ins, and conduct final walkthroughs before completion.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Ensure job site cleanliness, manage weekly safety meetings, and address any safety concerns immediately.
  • Closeout: Oversee final inspections, punch list completion, document submissions, and CO/TCO acquisition for project closeout.
  • This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in managing multiple trades and high-end finishes.
