Position Summary
Reporting to the Project and Operations Manager, the Construction Superintendent uses his/her ability and experience to supervise, direct and document construction sites as assigned. The primary responsibility of the Construction Superintendent is to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This individual is responsible for all aspects of direct site construction ranging from communication through quality control.

Supervisory Responsibility
This is a non-exempt position that may have supervisory responsibility of 5-10 employees and at any given time subcontractors with up to 25 employees on site.
Work Environment
This position operates in multiple environment settings, including but not limited to a professional office environment, outdoor field work environments, and/or driving vehicles for project needs. The office setting role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, printers and plotters. The outdoor field work routinely is in the proximity of the use of tools and other construction equipment outdoors and will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The driving setting role routinely focuses on safely driving medium sized fleet vehicles (including but not limited to pickup trucks, vans and cars) from one project location to another for needs of the project deliverables. In any environment, the Construction Superintendent is responsible for identifying work hazards and applying safety measures for their well-being and following all state safety regulations.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision requirements of the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel
This position will be required to travel on an on-going as needed basis. Projects and trade shows are nationwide in the United Sates and can be international. The estimated travel requirement for this position will be 40% of the year.
