SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Construction Superintendent for its client in Phoenix, AZ / Santa Clara, CA / Chicago, IL locations. The person will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, a deep understanding of safety regulations, and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of tradespeople. This role is essential in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets. • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration. • Supervise and manage all on-site activities, including tradespeople, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety and quality standards. • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies. • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for all site personnel. • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of construction. • Coordinate the delivery and availability of materials and equipment to avoid delays. • Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards and meets quality control requirements. • Monitor project expenditures and assist in maintaining budgetary controls. • Prepare progress reports and communicate status updates to management and stakeholders. • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and collaboration among all site personnel. • Mentor and develop junior staff and tradespeople to enhance their skills and performance. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education. • 5+ years of experience in construction supervision or management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and construction documentation. • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methods. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork. • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred. • Must have an active and valid driver's license.
