Construction Site Superintendent

The Construction Site Superintendent primary responsibility is to manage, in collaboration with the Project Manager, the successful completion of assigned projects. This role is the lead for job site safety, quality control, and project schedule and is the liaison with architect and consultants on all field and constructability issues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safety-First priority. Manages the overall safety of the job site and relevant surrounding areas and sets the tone for achieving positive safety results on the project.
  • Lead the development of the project plan including: site safety plan, site logistics, and project schedule.
  • Assist in development of Trade Partner's scope and Trade Partner selection.
  • Coordinate, sequence and manage materials and construction activities with the Project Team, the Trade Partners and other stake holders. This includes the timely delivery, receiving, quality control, staging, secure storage, deployment and tracking.
  • Ensure that each project is built per the plans, specs, so the product that is delivered to the client is of the highest quality.
  • Create, maintain, and update short interval lookahead schedules for the Trade Partners on a weekly basis.
  • Facilitate 15-minute morning huddles with all trade foreman each day.
  • Track installation of work / production rates and produce work tracking sheets to be distributed weekly.
  • Produce and manage the daily construction log.
  • Effectively manage all of the project schedule dates to meet scheduled milestones and completion date(s).
  • Facilitate communication and management of the job site and ensure that all parties involved are aware of their responsibilities and informed of project status and expectations.
  • Establish and maintain coordination meetings as appropriate for the project.
  • Lead and motivate members of the Project Team and Trade Partners to complete all phases of work within the schedule and budget.
  • Build and maintain relationships with inspectors, Trade Partners, stakeholders and clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Ground up construction, Interiors.
  • Supervising: 5 years ()
  • High school education or equivalent. Two or Four-year degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
  • Thorough working knowledge of wood and concrete commercial or multi-family construction as related to all disciplines and phase of construction.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including MS Office, Procore, and project management software (P6, MS Project).
  • Be effective at building collaborative relationships and functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and leadership.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • OSHA 30hr
  • Demonstrated commitment to , learning and successfully working in multicultural environments.
