Job Description:
18th October, 2024 One Tech Engineering is searching for a Construction Supervisor for a position located in Shakopee, Minnesota. The Construction Supervisor will manage the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation. The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 5-7 years' experience in mechanical systems and extensive knowledge of piping systems and installation. Construction Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety kickoff meetings and participate in planning/scheduling sessions at the start of each day.
  • Perform observation work in the field to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Complete documentation, scheduling, and coordination activities in the office.
  • Engage in various computer tasks related to project management and reporting.
  • Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation.
  • Accountable for meeting agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures.
  • Develops project plan and drives project milestones.
  • Establishes effective communication plan with the project team and key stakeholders.
  • Provides day-to-day direction to project resources and ensures the project teams are provided the resources and support that enable the teams to reach their defined objectives.
  • Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project.
  • Responsible for the preparation of documentation and status reports.
Requirements of the Construction Supervisor:
  • 5-7 years' experience in mechanical systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of piping systems and installation, including familiarity with mechanical systems, installation specs, and governing codes and regulations.
  • Previous experience at a foreman level or higher (e.g., superintendent) in fuel/gas or similar mechanical systems environments.
  • Previous knowledge of PDF viewers/editors in addition to proficiency with the MS Office suite.
  • Attention to detail to verify that installations meet all specs, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills.
