Overview: This position is a field based role and will be on site and/or travel daily to job sites in Kentucky and nearby states in the Midwest. The Construction Supervisor provides overall direction and management for our outside plant construction projects and/or maintenance programs. The Construction Supervisor is the leader / manager of construction team that includes Craftsman, Field Engineers, and General Foreman. This position involves a high level of responsibility requiring strong management and supervision skills. Responsibilities Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required. Manages and ensures customer's expectations for quality, schedule, and budget are satisfied Direct management of the operations portion of the project Reports performance data as required to management and customers Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, other contractors, etc. Supervise craft employees and other contractors. Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc. Perform additional assignments per Supervisor's direction. Qualifications BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred 5+ years Telecom utility construction experience in relevant operations management, construction management, and craft supervision experience Experience in all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules and safety required. Experience in understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards, and their impact on project activities. 100% travel required Able to travel for extended periods of time at various locations.
