Construction TechnicianPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Construction Technician to support our infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and project management, with a particular focus on IDOT standards. This role involves ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of infrastructure projects from planning to completion
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with construction standards and regulations
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and reports
- Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Assist in estimating project costs and preparing field reports
- Identify and report material deficiencies and coordinate resolutions
- Support project closeout activities and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
- Conduct testing and provide testing reports as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction and infrastructure project management
- Knowledge of IDOT standards and regulations
- Solid skills in layout, inspection, and documentation
- Ability to prepare estimates and manage project closeout processes
- Experience with water, wastewater, and storm water systems is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- IDOT Documentation Certification is preferred
