The position facilitates the course objectives in the lab by assuring materials are ordered/stocked, safety measures are adhered to, labs are clean/uncluttered, and basic student inquiries in the discipline are addressed. Works closely with and is supervised by the lead instructor. Will work 15-20 hours per week.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist instructor(s) in the preparation of materials for classroom laboratories
- Performs inventory of supplies
- Returns labs to clean/ready state following classes
- Maintain SDS forms for all chemicals and other hazardous materials
- Assembles materials, supplies, and equipment needed for assigned lab sections
- Maintains and monitors the storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste
- Communicates consistent and timely information with tact and diplomacy
- Understands related OSHA regulations and procedures
- Ability to perform basic computer skills/applications
- Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to appropriately exchange ideas and maintain effective communication with students, staff, and faculty
- Available to work a flexible schedule
- Capable of prioritizing, planning, and completing duties in a timely fashion while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Assist with special projects.
- Assist with promotional events
- Oversee construction club labs.

Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Construction Trades or Three years of experience performing similarwork

- Journeyman card, or Teaching experience in Construction Trades
