If you are looking for a job where you can continue to grow, learn a variety of skills, and be surrounded by confident and competent co-workers who care about you and the quality of work, GSG is the place for you.ResponsibilitiesAssists a skilled or semi-skilled maintenance tradesman as directed.Performs duties such as repairing roads, cutting grass, demolition work, and various other preparatory work for the trades.Performs simple and elementary work not specifically related to the trades, such as moving equipment or materials to repair shops, excavation, spreading top-soil, grass cutting, and snow removal.Operates a small truck to pick up items for delivery and drop off to jobsites.Loads and unloads truck.Fuels cars, trucks, and heavy equipment.Lubricates and greases trucks and heavy equipment such as articulated loaders and backhoes.Moves heavy objects (50 pounds or more) short distances (20 feet or less).Moves light objects (less than 20 pounds) long distances (more than 20 feet).Bends or stoops repeatedly or continually over time (i.e., picks up trash from roadside, works under equipment).Shovels and rakes stone, sand, loam, and other earth materials repeatedly or continually over time.Works in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.Learns job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation in an on-the-job training setting.Lifts arms above shoulder level (i.e., throws bags and loose trash into a truck, enters the cab of a vehicle, uses a steam cleaner).Climbs ladders or steps to reach objects.Works cooperatively with other employees and the public.Enters the cab of a vehicle that is 3.5 feet off the ground.Operates excavator using foot and hand controls and sometimes maneuvers them in tight spaces.Routinely inspects safety equipment, lights, horns, tires, and cooling equipment before starting the vehicle.Loads trucks to maximize the use of space and distribute weight accordingly, ensuring safety on the road.Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.Understands and follows oral and written instruction in the English language.Works safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.#J-18808-Ljbffr
