Qualifications:Education- Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing (Required) or
- (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Work Experience- 1+ years Experience in assisting breastfeeding mothers, particularly in the inpatient setting. (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Knowledge of needs of antepartal and postpartal mother. (Required proficiency)
- Experience in assisting breastfeeding mothers, particularly in the inpatient setting. (Required proficiency)
- Evidence of ongoing continuing education and professional development. (Required proficiency)
- Uses selected technical (lactation) and office equipment (e.g., fax, computer, telephone) to meet patient and family needs. (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Upon Hire (Required)
- Completion of lactation educator training program with current certification (Required) and
- Must apply to sit for the IBCLC exam within 6 months of hire within 6 Months (Required) and
- Successfully pass the IBCLC exam within 1 Year (Required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or equivalent (Required)
