This Paralegal will preferably sit in downtown Chicago but client is also open to Austin, TX. Day to Day:Collaborate with Attorneys and Partners of firm on current and upcoming legal cases. Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law. Perform various administrative tasks such as emailing, electronic and physical filing, phone support, etc. Assist in drafting, reviewing, proofreading, citation checking, and tabling documents. Manage and calendar court deadlines. Prepare documents for filing in both state and federal courts. Professionally communicate with clients, experts, courts, and defense counsel. Must Haves:Bachelors Degree or comparable amount of work experience in the field OR Paralegal Certificate. 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal in Consumer Law or related field. Experience supporting litigation cases (commercial or civil preferred). Personal injury exposure. Strong analytical skills and proven ability to work with Attorneys/Partners on complex legal cases. Great communication, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Able to work onsite in Chicago or Austin.
