A Day In the Life as a Consumer Lending Manager

The primary role of a Consumer Lending Manager (exempt, Grade 15) at MidSouth Community FCU is to supervise the employees and administer the activities of the Lending Center.

The Lending Center is led by the Consumer Lending Manager and housed at our Watson Blvd branch in Warner Robins, GA. This department can be a busy and fast-paced environment, reviewing loan applications, preparing loans for the underwriting process, and educating members on recommended products & services each day. As a Consumer Lending Manager, you would serve your team by ensuring the proper execution of each Lending Center function and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the department. You would also serve external member-owners by appropriately responding to member requests for loan modifications such as, skip pay requests, troubled dent restructuring, etc.

If you have worked in a financial institution in a back-office support role or if you have been customer/member-facing in a role that requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, this position may be perfect for you!

Additionally, we are looking for a person who is able to effectively balance priorities, while maintaining a level of high professionalism and courtesy to all members.

Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: A college degree is preferred. Commensurate experience is acceptable as well

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas & services to others.

How is the Work Schedule?

The Consumer Lending Manager position is a full time role, working typically 40 hours weekly.
