Job SummaryThe Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist ensures the successful boarding of all consumer loans to the core operating system.This position processes the monthly payment and payoff reports on HELOCs serviced by third parties and processes the release of all paid off collateral and total loss vehicles and maintains auto draft requests.The incumbent monitors insurance tracking and force placement of auto insurance and responds to departmental customer correspondence and phone inquiries.Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Monitors reports to identify and resolve any consumer loan boarding rejects.
- Processes the release of collateral on paid off portfolio loans and prepares shipments of paid off files for loans serviced by third parties.
- Requests original loan documents from custodian for collateral release on paid off investor loans.
- Reviews and processes maturing HELOC reports and HELOC rollover reports.
- Processes and maintains automatic loan payment requests.
- Processes auto loan due date change modification requests.
- Monitors insurance tracking and force placement of home equity lines of credit and auto insurance.
- Ensures the timely distribution and handling of department mail and scans various loan documents into imaging system.
- Responsible for balancing individual transactions processed throughout the day and participating in departmental balancing of check requests, credit card activity, and official checks.
- Helps to serve customers with inquiries related to the general servicing of their loan, including payment processing, history interpretation, year-end reporting, lien and title releases, address changes, fraud inquiries, billing questions, insurance/claims, draft/debit card processing, and quoting loan payoffs.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Job RequirementsEducation:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required:
- 1+ years of data entry and customer service experience required.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to utilize MS Office applications required.
- Ability to follow written policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet all designated deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred:
- Previous banking experience.
