Job Description:

The Content Creator focuses on uncovering and telling the compelling stories of our people, culture, and projects. This individual will play a vital role in capturing the voices and stories of our team, clients, and industry leaders to enhance our company's newsletter, website, and social media presence.

POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • Schedule, conduct, and document interviews with internal employees, clients, partners, and other key stakeholders to craft compelling stories for internal and external audiences.
  • Develop engaging written, audio, and visual stories based on interview findings, highlighting company achievements, team culture, client success, and industry trends.
  • Write and contribute to the monthly company newsletter, ensuring content is informative, relevant, and resonates with both internal and external audiences.
  • Curate content for social media channels, focusing on telling authentic stories that increase engagement and align with our marketing strategies.
  • Partner with a photographer/videographer during site visits to gather complementary visual content; occasionally handle photography or video independently.
  • Work closely with all departments to track down information about projects and initiatives to ensure accurate storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and maintain a robust content calendar.
  • Organize and manage digital media files and documentation.
  • Support other marketing initiatives to promote Service Electric Company's mission and values.
  • Other projects as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in interviewing, content creation, or writing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Exceptional storytelling and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with photography and videography workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their content requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a rapport with team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent time management with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to deal with a diverse group of all levels of management both internally and externally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed (occasionally independently).
