Overview: The Lexington Legends are looking for a Content Marketing Manager who wants to Be a Legend working in Minor League Baseball. This role will be responsible for communicating the Lexington Legends brand to its fan base through all relevant media, including but not limited to: social media, website and email, as well as keeping them in the know of games and other events throughout the baseball season and off-season. Working in baseball is FUN, exhilarating, high-energy, and endlessly fascinating. We'd love to have someone that thrives in that environment, and one who wants to dig in with the team, take care of our brand on the website and social media, and even take a few swings for the fences with engaging content. You will report to the General Manager of the Lexington Legends and Temerity Baseball's Director of Marketing, who will welcome your voice and your vision in the role. This position is full-time and is based in Lexington, KY. Working game nights and additional special events is required. Roles and Expectations:
- During the baseball season, the primary role is the boots on the ground for our social media channels during baseball games and special events. You will spearhead the creation of content for social media, capturing one-of-a-kind moments and giving our audience a special peek into our Legendary game experience. We invite this role to explore their creative vision. If this doesn't energize you, it might not be the role for you.
- Beyond the events of the season, you are the manager and moderator of our social channels. This role will need to engage with fans, seek out relevant conversations to join, and field requests for information. This means you are the caretaker of our voice on social media, engaging with fans in a fun, energetic and inquisitive manner. This is fun too, with a touch of administrative work along with it.
- This role will collaborate with our Director of Marketing to maintain, manage and amplify paid social media campaigns.
- This role will help plan the social media strategy and communicate ways to improve it as you see fit.
- This role's ultimate KPIs will be to contribute to the growing Lexington Legends brand, increase brand engagement and thereby help raise brand awareness to drive game attendance. This is in conjunction with the overall Marketing Strategy led by our Director of Marketing. Social media is one of the most visible aspects of branding, and it's your job to caretake the brand and help push it forward.
- The Content Marketing Manager will assist with Proof of Performances for team sponsors. With a strong focus on analytics and advertising visibility in posts and content, this role will provide screenshots and data related to all sponsored content as well as organic visibility, i.e. outfield wall signs in the background of pictures and videos posted to social channels.
- This role will also manage the team website, keeping it up to date with valuable information about events, special offers, and promotions. With a focus on installing SEO-boosting tactics and optimizing the fan experience while using the site.
- Graphic Design experience is required. This role will assist in the graphic design needs of the team. Understanding of Adobe Suite preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required - Minimum (2) years of previous social media management and content creation experience
- Preferred - Minimum (2) years of graphic design experience
- Preferred - Experience in Minor League Baseball or other professional sports
- Preferred - Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university or college
