Job Description Summary:
This position independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms/medical history and/or results from previous testing. He/She reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made.Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree (Required)ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical SonographyAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical SonographyAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - American Registry of Radiologic TechnologistsAmerican Registry of Radiologic TechnologistsAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists, BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart AssociationAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Heart Association, RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical SonographyAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical SonographyAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography1-2 yrs ultrasound training from an accredited training program. Must have passed the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Must have passed the abdominal or OB/GYN and physics/instrumentation. 1-2 yrs previous ultrasound experience (clinical training acceptable). BLS Certification.
