Job Description:
Position Summary:The Crane Business Systems (CBS) Coordinator will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, driving process optimization, and achieving strategic business goals. Reporting to the CBS Manager, the Coordinator will collaborate with cross-functional teamsto identify areas of improvement, implement changes, communicate results to the organization, and monitor the impact of initiatives. This position will also assist in coordinating and maintaining the the site's Future Factory Vision and is responsible for becoming a Tool Champions in key tool needs for the business.Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):* Lead and support change management efforts by engaging stakeholders, addressing concerns, and ensuring the adoption of new processes and methodologies to enhance organizational performance.* Work cross-functionally with various departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting idea-sharing and innovation throughout the organization.* Support and oversee the implementation of new projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.* Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects, providing ongoing feedback and progress reports to the CBS Manager.* Serve as the primary resource for timely completion and follow-up on improvements identified during Kaizen events, including resolving action items related to Newspaper items.* Apply sound principles and established procedural disciplines to execute projects from conception to completion while meeting quality, timeline, and budget objectives.* Partner with the Site Leadership team to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities that align with the Strategic Deployment Plan and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics.* Lead initiatives to optimize tooling selection and maintenance, reduce downtime, and extend tool life.* Monitor and document testing for tooling prototypes, maintain testing records, and coordinate communications with tooling vendors.* Work toward certification as a Tool Champion and support the certification process for others.* Lead, facilitate, and participate in Kaizen events and projects to drive strategic business targets in key areas, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.* Provide training, mentoring, and support to develop Certified Tool Champions across the organization.* Assist with planning and coordinating logistics for Kaizen and Just-Do-It (JDI) events, ensuring smooth execution.* Contribute to the completion of weekly reports and maintain clear communication with the CBS Manager and other stakeholders.* Collaborate with HR to develop and implement recognition programs for Certified Tool Champions, reinforcing the importance of their contributions.* Conduct regular audits of Kaizen event results and ensure sustained improvements across the site.* Capture findings from 5S and MRS (Management Review System) audits and drive the resolution of identified issues.* Assume responsibility for specific projects as assigned by the CBS Manager, ensuring timely and effective execution.Essential Qualifications / Experience:* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous.* 2-3 years' of experience in in process improvement, project management, or related roles. Previous experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives is highly desirable.* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze processes, and derive actionable insights for improvement.* Background in ISO 9001 or related standards preferred.* Proven ability to identify problems, propose effective solutions, and drive successful implementation.* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.* Proficient in the use of Word and Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.* Ability to travel up to 10% for training and development.Crane Co. reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
