Job Description:

Job Title: Continuous Improvement Job Summary: Establishing and maintaining plant KPI's supported by Plex or database systems. Recommends analytical techniques for data collection, gathers data; analyzes and interprets data; prepares reports and makes recommendations. Developing of the annual performance improvement project, innovation project. Reviews and analyzes departmental budgets; may monitor and administer department budget. Identify process inefficiencies and leading activities using cross-functional teams to deliver improvement results. 6-Communicating findings and economic recommendations to leadership. Participate in business case development and prioritization of technology and/or business process driven projects. 8-Evaluate operational issues to determine how competitive and current it is with the last trends in the industry. Job Functions:

  • Maintain the Continuous Improvement KPI's for the whole value stream.Define and implement the Continuous Improvement procedure and strategy. Provide recommendations and monitor trends.
  • Performing statistical analyses to help guide decision making across projects and teams.
  • Research and analyze data using a variety of software programs, including spreadsheets, statistical analysis, and database management programs.
  • Carrying out advanced data collection and analysis for output& quality improvement, develop budgets and cost analysis to determine project feasibility; Conduct baseline and value stream studies to determine applicability of project idea to strategic business needs.
  • Using reporting tools to develop reports that measure overall team performance. Develop weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting to monitor the production performance as well as share business insights with product development, cost, budgeting .
  • Identify business growth opportunities via data driven insights. Identify opportunities for performance improvement, particularly in PLEX data record, production efficiency; Identify sources of waste and non-value-added complexity, then developing and executing a strategy for improvement. Develop economic recommendations and present them to leadership.
  • Reviews and analyzes departmental budgets; may monitor and administer department budget; Assists in preparation of capital improvement program.;Workforce analysis, Revenue analysis and internal policy development;
  • Participate in business case development and prioritization of technology and/or business process driven projects; Develop and conduct compliance audits, program evaluations and reviews to driver results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanent.
  • Developing of the annual performance improvement project, innovation project and seeing it through to its conclusion, including development of its month-end, year-end report.
  • Communicating findings and economic recommendations to leadership; Communicate analyses through presentations to senior management in the department and business partners from other departments.
  • Evaluate operational issues to determine how competitive and current it is with the last trends in the industry
Qualifications:
  • Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
  • 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Bachelor degree or above with manufacturing experience is preferred
  • The employee is regularly required o stand for long periods. Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
  • Visual acuity including, but not limited to:
  • a. NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded.
  • b. FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions.
  • c. DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
  • d. COLOR VISION - Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • e. FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position
  • are safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed work boots.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS -
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS - Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software.
  • Software proficiency: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point; MRP systems
  • Familiar with Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma concepts
  • Good project management knowledge
  • Familiar with the following systems: Total productive maintenance, SMED, VSM and creating continuous flow.
  • Implementation and data base management of basic manufacturing KPI's like OEE, FTT etc.
  • Familiar with the 5 lean manufacturing principles
  • Clear understanding of value, the 7 different types of waste and the Plan - Do - Check - Act
  • Strong database management skill
  • Project management skill
  • Manage and direct CI Teams using the different lean tools
  • Manage and track KPI database and analysis
  • Lead a kaizen event for a specific/identified area
  • Change agent able to create the change on the production floor implementing the CI tools
  • Building effective Continuous Improvement teams
  • Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence
