The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for facilitating and initiating Operational Excellence Programs and activities, including 4-walls initiatives according to overall program targets of the BA and Group.
Job Responsibilities:
* Initiate and facilitate Operational Excellence programs and activities, including 4-Walls initiatives according to overall program targets of the BA and Group
* Provide continuous improvement support to the Plants, working in close cooperation with the Plant Manager and the whole plant management team
* Support and lead, whenever needed, operational excellence and lean improvement projects at the plants through the use of techniques such as Kaizen, 5'S, Six Sigma, TPM, Kanban
* Provide operational excellence and Lean on-the-job training to plant teams, making sure that contents are understood and fully owned as well as responsibilities are defined and understood
* Ensure compliance, Group culture, targets and policies respect and implementation, with particular focus on HSE as first priority
* Contribute in definition of continuous improvement and Operational Excellence key performance indicators, target setting and achievement action plans
* Support Plant Manager in deploying operational excellence and continuous improvement plans, tool and methodologies, in order to achieve world class excellence level in operations
* Facilitate and where needed, lead, Operational Excellence and lean improvement programs and activities
* Lead strategic continuous improvement projects within plant operations enabling timely achievement of targets within own area of responsibility
* Handle in-house training on CI tools and methodologies for employees
* Manage operational excellence follow up meetings and related action plans
* Take care of operational excellence reports and progress presentations
* Provide technical expertise to plant on statistics, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, Kanban methodology, tools and practices
* Respect and develop compliance to Group culture, policies and directives for own perimeter
Required Competencies & Expereince:
* Technical University degree required, master degree and official certification about Lean and/or six Sigma preferred
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing roles and implementation of operational excellence programs, within a manufacturing environment, preferably in process industry
* Solid knowledge and expertise in Operational Excellence, Lean and continuous improvement methodologies and tools
* Proven change management skills, applied in continuous improvement and operational excellence projects and activities within a manufacturing environment, preferably in process industry
* Strong leadership, problem solving and analytical skills
* Proven analysis and presentation skills, including use of common IT tools
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Solid time management and planning skills
* Availability to extensive travelling
* Fluency in English and local language
