Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead and enhance CI initiatives across our heavy metal manufacturing facility. This role involves building teams, developing CI plans, and driving improvements in operations, maintenance, materials management, and quality assurance.
This candidate will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement projects geared at increasing capacity and implementing cost savings. The ideal profile will have experience leading Kaizen events and 5S projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive CI program for the plant.
- Create annual CI plans and training programs to foster growth and efficiency.
- Deliver measurable cost savings and quality improvements.
- Standardize metrics like KPIs and OEE across all operational areas.
- Facilitate CI meetings to track progress and promote best practices.
- Train staff on CI methodologies including Lean, TPM, and Kaizen.
- Champion a culture of “One-Team Spirit” and “Zero Defect Focus.”
- Collaborate with plant leadership to drive transformational projects and engage teams in improvement efforts.
- Lead cost-savings projects throughout the organization
- Implement process improvements throughout the manufacturing site
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing and CI environments.
- Proficiency in CI tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to motivate teams.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.
