Job Description:

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will lead the execution of continuous improvement strategy in the plant. You will drive a culture of excellence that is focused on improvement, efficiency, and repeatable processes, ensuring the delivery of main goals. You will work onsite in Cleveland, OH and report to the Plant Manager. Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze together with Plant Management the strategic objectives to establish potential projects that help reduce the gaps between indicators and goals to obtain high value for the business
  • Operations and maintenance of standard work process implementations and post implementation coach for standard work process teams
  • Promote then improve skills/capabilities of teams (problem solving, project management, etc.), deploy CI culture as an advocate for process improvement, employee development, 5S, tier boards and meetings, and improve measures with Lean methodology.
  • Dedicated to overseeing improvement cycle - preparation, facilitation, implementation, sustainment, performance tracking of JDI, PDCA, Kaizen and DMAIC events
  • Owner of monthly and yearly plant continuous improvement metrics - performance, financial performance, and cultural transformation
  • Driving force in the implementation of improvement projects, workshops, and best practices implementation with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating waste, reducing costs, and standardizing operations, and involving area managers on them to enforce execution
  • Facilitate communication between management and work teams, both on the shop floor and in office environments, to empower and train managers, supervisors, and operators on CI programs and best practices
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or process-driven field, master's degree preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of working experience, including operational role (e.g., plant or operations management) and leadership experience
  • Possess leadership experience, problem solving and process improvement skills
  • Minimum LSS Green Belt certification, Black Belt certification preferred
  • Experience with team development, process improvement, and project management
