Management Level: P4Summary: This position supports leveraging Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement principles to identify, eliminate waste, and provide a systematic and structured way to reduce cost through utilization of Kaizen Events / GEMBA walks at Plant Ideation Events. This role is the process owner for the selection, planning, execution, and follow-up of many events each FY to drive accountability in the delivery of productivity, efficiency, and safety improvements for Procurement's stakeholders. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:Acting as facilitator for these Ideation events for Procurement, Operations, BU, and cross functional stakeholders, planning the events including all logistics for successful events, managing Idea tracker, holding post-event calls to ensure project completion for accountability. Number of events are expected to be up to 12 per year. Position will also flex as able to support other Supplier Performance and Relationship Management activity in support of the Procurement CoE. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Operations Management are beneficial. Experience: 5 plus years in LEAN/Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain, Procurement or Business with project management experience preferred. Experience in plant environments a plus. Technical Skills: Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Project Manager and Word. Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI desired. Ability to learn new systems and organize significant amounts of information in a simplified and professional manner is critical. Ability to plan and facilitate Kaizen events critical. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are required. Ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization and assume a leadership role during cross functional meetings is critical. Travel: 10 or more trips per year as needed. Position Specific: Six Sigma / Project Management certifications preferred. Knowledge of practical lean manufacturing principles. Financial acumen, strategic planning capabilities with the skill to organize and analyze data identify opportunities and recommend direction. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Creative problem solver with innovative approaches to resolve complex problems. Excellent project management skills with proven ability to drive results through coordination and juggling cross functional team meetings from higher levels in the organization.
