Continuous Improvement Manager

Reports to: Complex Continuous Improvement Manager Job Status: Full-Time / Salary

Department: Mobility Profile: On Location

Position Summary: The CI Manager will champion the systems and processes that drive Operational Excellence. These include but are not limited to continuous improvement of the production work environment, optimizing the office environment and all systems and processes that contribute to providing a World Class product and Customer Experiences.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Work with the leadership team to analyze and improve organizational processes and work to optimize quality, productivity and efficiency in each department.

Office Systems - oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of efficient and effective office processes, including ensuring the company follows quality processes at all levels in all departments

Prepare inventory analysis and procurement purchase orders to address production needs.

Develop auditing systems to ensure continuity of established processes, coach and develop leadership to champion these O.E. audits

Create a strategic long-term SKA development program for all team members throughout the organization to take on greater responsibilities and to ensure the company has backup/cross functionality across current staff.

Responsible for determining needs within the company and connecting groups to work together to solve problems as they arise.

Collaborate with the Production Managers and Area Mangers at all 4 plants to identify Lean projects then prioritize and execute a game plan to implement. Information Systems - ensure the facility is in conformity with the Clayton Home Office IT strategy.

Work with the Home Office IT team to ensure the business has robust and reliable IT systems and continuously capitalizes on technology, maximizing effectiveness and business efficiency.

Maintain process improvement tracking sheet for real-time progress measurement and ROI tracking.

Lead cultural change to become more efficient by looking at process improvements and waste elimination in the shop.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

Be a critical thinker who can analyze situations and make decisions geared toward the company's best interests

Demonstrate effective motivation skills and techniques to encourage team to meet performance objectives

Demonstrate honesty in all situations to cultivate an environment of trust

Education and Qualifications:

BS in industrial engineering or related field such as manufacturing or mechanical engineering, required.

Experience with process development and controlled documentation.

5 years of experience with lean principles and manufacturing systems. Demonstrated positive leadership influence with others
