We're looking for talented individuals to contribute to our ongoing success.Position Overview:The Continuous Improvement Manager will spearhead process improvement initiatives, implementing lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and other best practices to drive operational efficiency and enhance productivity. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, optimize manufacturing processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.Major Functions:1. Safety and Risk Management - Actively support and enforce company safety policies and procedures. - Lead by example to create and sustain a safety-first culture within the team. - Conduct risk assessments for improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with safety standards. - Identify and coordinate necessary safety training for employees involved in improvement projects. - Ensure safe operation and risk mitigation during process changes or implementation phases.2. Continuous Improvement - Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving quality. - Develop, implement, and maintain lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies across the organization. - Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure improvement progress and drive accountability. - Conduct data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and provide actionable insights for leadership. - Guide teams through problem-solving techniques such as root cause analysis, PDCA, and value stream mapping. - Mentor and train employees on lean methodologies and foster a continuous improvement mindset.3. Change Management - Facilitate the adoption of new processes and improvements by employing effective change management techniques. - Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote buy-in and ownership of improvement initiatives. - Communicate project goals, expectations, and timelines to stakeholders at all levels. - Track the progress of improvement initiatives and provide regular updates to leadership on key metrics and outcomes. - Address resistance to change by identifying barriers and implementing strategies to overcome them.4. Project Management - Manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion. - Develop project plans with clear objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. - Coordinate with internal and external resources as needed to meet project deliverables. - Monitor project budgets and costs, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives. - Prepare and present reports on project status, outcomes, and future recommendations.5. Process Standardization and Documentation - Establish standardized procedures and best practices for critical processes to ensure consistency and quality. - Document process changes, improvement initiatives, and relevant data to build a knowledge repository. - Conduct regular audits and reviews of process standards to identify and correct deviations.Accountability of Employees: - Use best efforts and full capability to achieve assigned outputs. - Inform the manager in time for adaptive action when circumstances prevent achieving outputs. - Advise the manager on helpful ideas. - Seek special dispensation from the manager when unable to work at best capacity.Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (required). - 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing with a strong background in process improvement (required). - Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt preferred). - Proven experience implementing lean methodologies and leading continuous improvement initiatives. - Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. - Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive organizational goals. - Experience with ERP systems, Epicor knowledge is a plus.Mandatory Role Requirements:1. Knowledge/Education/Certification - Requires a college degree or equivalent, plus specialized training, certification, or education in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.2. Experience - Requires more than eight years of experience, with an emphasis on process improvement in a manufacturing setting.3. Role Complexity - Involves diverse data gathering and frequent judgments; requires substantial knowledge in lean processes and the ability to handle varying and changing conditions.4. Foresight/Planning - This role significantly impacts production efficiency, cost control, and process standardization.5. Responsibility for Accuracy - Mistakes may affect operational efficiency and result in delays or additional costs; attention to detail is critical.6. Decision Making - Offers advice and recommendations to senior management, develops and implements procedures, and is responsible for the results of cross-functional teams' work.7. Contacts with Others/Communications - Requires frequent communication with other departments to facilitate change and improve processes.8. Supervision Received - Operates with a high degree of independence, responsible for own decision-making and strategic direction of improvement projects.9. Responsibility for Company Assets - Responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities; may handle moderate budgets for improvement projects.10. Responsibility for Confidentiality - May occasionally have access to confidential financial or operational information, with potential minor impacts from information exposure.11. Hazards & Working Conditions - Requires occasional interaction with production environments; some exposure to machinery and typical manufacturing hazards.12.
