With global distribution and sites located throughout North American and Europe, Washington Mills opens the door to a world of opportunity, creativity, and challenge.What You'll DoThe Continuous Improvement Manager is accountable for providing leadership and direction for optimization efforts for all processes in the plant from raw material handling to mixing to bagging. This position will report to the Plant Manager and work as part of the plant leadership team.
- Act as the primary facilitator for plant value stream activities as well as consolidation of initiatives and implementation
- Data mining and the execution of Design of Experiment initiatives to drive cost improvements through the value chain
- Provide functional leadership, supervision, technical advice and services in matters relating to plant and equipment design, capital projects, productivity improvements, quality control, and environmental monitoring
- Provide technical advice and counsel in cost reduction programs and in new and improved products and processes
- Assist with efforts in monitoring compliance with environmental laws and regulations
What You'll NeedTo be successful in this position, you must:
- Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering with 5-10 years of relevant business experience
- Be able to demonstrate prior experience with Design of Experiment, data mining, and modelling aptitude for processes
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with management, prioritize multiple projects, and maintain documentation
- Be able to plan, negotiate, direct, control, and monitor others' activities
