Position: Continuous Improvement ManagerLocation: Morgantown, PA 19543Relocation and Benefit Packages: YesCompensation: Strong Compensation Package including generous bonusWork Status: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (no sponsorship)Availability: Immediate as this is a key role within the management teamOverview:In our quest for excellence, we seek a dynamic Continuous Improvement Manager to spearhead large-scale capital improvements exceeding $5 million. This role is pivotal in driving strategic advancements across manufacturing and technical departments, championing innovation, and fostering an environment of continuous enhancement.Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide comprehensive management and leadership to the Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement teams, ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement Expertise: Serve as the organization's principal advisor on continuous improvement methodologies, including, but not limited to, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing principles. Use these methodologies to spearhead process and product enhancements.
  • Collaborative Initiatives: I will lead the Continuous Improvement group in its collaboration with Maintenance and Operations, aiming to implement site-wide advancements.
  • Strategic Planning Participation: Engage in extensive site planning activities, encompassing capital management, inventory control, and additional operational necessities.
  • Training and Development: Guide the development and execution of Continuous Improvement training programs, facilitating special events to promote organizational growth in efficiency and productivity.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the Accounting department to meticulously quantify, measure, and report on cost savings and project expenditures, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
  • Cross-Functional Facilitation: Act as a pivotal facilitator and contact for inter-company and intra-company strategic initiatives.
  • Communication Excellence: Effectively disseminates information regarding company and departmental objectives, achievements, and policies, nurturing a culture of positive and transparent communication.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is essential.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience within a manufacturing setting, with a preference for individuals with a hands-on approach to driving improvements.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with Titanium and Melting processes is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
  • Analytical and Leadership Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities paired with proven leadership skills are critical for success in this role.
  • Communication Proficiency: Strong capabilities in both written and verbal communication.
  • Flexibility: Availability to manage responsibilities in a continuous manufacturing environment, including the capacity to work flexible hours and address urgent issues as needed.
Desired Attributes:
  • Experience with ISO9000 is beneficial.
  • Statistical knowledge and experience are required to analyze and optimize processes effectively.
