CONTRACTS ANALYST
This is a remote temporary role. If in the Pittsburgh area, will have ability to go on-site and collaborate with other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzes requests for proposal and contract terms to identify business risks, suggests edits to the contract terms and conditions, assists with the development of pricing strategy, and supports contract compliance efforts.
- Assists in the negotiation and renegotiation of managed care and/or other third-party payor contracts to achieve operation objectives with results that are in accord with overall market needs and budgeted targets.
- Under management direction completes the first legal review and redline of contractual documents, obtaining input to contract terms from other internal departments, as required.
- Advises management of business risks and consolidates review comments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Healthcare Management, or a related field is strongly preferred
- Proven experience with legal or compliance review of healthcare contract in the healthcare, pharmacy, or managed care sector.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry standards related to managed care and third-party payor agreements.
- Strong understanding of managed care and third-party payor contracts, pricing strategies, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify risks and suggest appropriate edits to contract language.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
