Location: Chantilly, VA Requisition#: 0127 Salary: $98k - $125k Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI with a full scope poly Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, or business discipline with 24 semester hours in accounting Experience: 3 Years OVERVIEW Caribou Thunder is seeking a skilled Contract Auditor Level III to join our team and provide support for Financial Auditing Services. FAS is responsible for contract audit and analytic services, as well as accounting and financial advisory services in support of the negotiation, administration, and settlement of contracts. As a Contract Auditor Level III, you will be responsible for performing audits, preparing reports, analyzing contract cost data, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. REQUIREMENTS As a Contract Auditor Level III, you will play a critical role in conducting audits, analyzing contract cost data, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. This position requires a strong understanding of auditing principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with audit teams. 1. Perform audits using office templates in accordance with office policies, procedures, and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS). 2. Conduct entrance and exit conferences with contractors, documenting discussions in work papers. 3. Prepare audit reports, exhibits, and schedules using office templates. 4. Track audit progress and provide bi-monthly briefings to the team leaders. 5. Prepare written reports and exhibits detailing contractor claimed costs and audit findings for review by team lead and manager. 6. Collect and review information on contractor business practices and prior audit findings from in-house permanent files and discussions with contractors. 7. Collect, compile, and analyze contract cost data from accounting records to identify risk areas for transaction testing against contractor policies, supporting documentation, contract terms, and government regulations. 8. Create audit work paper packages using in-house templates and cross-reference work papers. 9. Review contract terms by examining contract documents (base and modifications) using in-house briefing tools. 10. Document all audit-related conversations in the work paper package. 11. Use in-house sampling programs to assess costs and determine the allowability of claimed costs, ensuring compliance with contractor policies, records, contract terms, and government regulations. 12. Document testing with spreadsheet checklists and samples of tested transactions, along with supporting documentation. 13. Minimal domestic travel may be required. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Prior experience in contract auditing. 2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 3. Experience analyzing contract cost data from accounting records to identify risk areas. 4. Strong report writing skills. 5. Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations and Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) is highly desired. 6. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) credentials are a plus, but not required. 7.
