The OpportunityAs a Contract Consultant, you will negotiate, structure and administer contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers and partners. Work with Sales, Service and Legal to structure contracts. Analyze contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements. Duties are varied and complex from research, analysis, solution development to original drafting of commercial terms.Responsibilities:
  • Execute and manage all contracts for one or more customer channels/segments.
  • Provide contract expertise when participating with cross-functional teams regarding contract tactics, bids, terms, and customer compliance.
  • Contribute expertise in contract strategy meetings to identify issues and customer requirements.
  • Liaise between parties on contract development and negotiations regarding terms/conditions, and draft/revise changes as required.
  • Manage the contract database to monitor contract expirations and milestones.
  • Negotiate custom contract terms/conditions and follow up to ensure execution according to the negotiated terms.
  • Identify potential risks that contract changes may pose to company.
  • Perform independent contract negotiation directly with customers which can include virtual meetings or travel to customer sites.
  • Provide direction on issues within area of expertise and assist department leadership in setting strategic direction.
  • Maintain contracted pricing in ERP system.
  • Project-manage resolution of unprecedented invoice issues.
  • Ensure the relevant documentation to accompany contracts and maintain digital copies of relevant documentation.
  • Coach teammates and stakeholders on Roche internal processes including those that are customer and/or product specific.
  • Contribute to special projects as requested and perform additional duties as assigned.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years contract, analytical or relevant experience; or an advanced degree with 3 years of contract, analytical or relevant experience. JD is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills - proficient with Microsoft Office and Google applications with strong Word and Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving, judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of contract law and the ability to apply that knowledge independently, including the regular use of originality and ingenuity.
  • Ability to proofread documents in a meticulous manner in order detect errors and inconsistencies in contracts.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of state of IN is $72,500 - $134,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
