Salary Grade 18: $63,037 - $75,000

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking one (1) qualified candidate to fill the full-time position for the Bureau of Mental Hygiene Administration - Contract Coordinator.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Office of Contracts is responsible for the Division of Mental Hygiene's management of contracting activities related to over 500 voluntary mental hygiene human service contracts and other agreements throughout the City of New York.

The Contract Coordinator will:

  • Process routine transactions and perform required follow-up to ensure timely completion of contract actions including new contracts, amendments, and budget modifications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed tracking mechanisms to coordinate implementation of contract initiatives and ensure critical deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate the Division of Mental Hygiene's use of HHS Accelerator Financials, including data management, task management, reporting, user training and resolution of system issues.
  • Coordinate the Division's City Council Discretionary Awards process.
  • Coordinate the Division's annual Passport performance evaluation process.
  • Collaborate with program staff to review and approve budgets.
  • Perform complex and detailed financial reconciliation exercises to ensure contracts are properly funded and contract actions reflect correct funding.
  • Perform routine updates to DOHMH contract and financial systems.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of contract issues.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports in response to stakeholder requests.
  • Participate in special projects as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and six months of full-time, satisfactory professional, technical, or administrative experience in one or more of the following fields: program evaluation, contract negotiation/management, fiscal/financial management, or project management; or
  • An Associate's degree or 60 credits and one year of professional, technical, or administrative experience in one or more of the following fields: program evaluation, contract negotiation/management, fiscal/financial management, or project management; or
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 or 2 above.
  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in government contracting, budgeting, accounting, and/or financial management.
    • Experience with data and project management.
    • Experience navigating financial systems.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
