Contract Low-Code Software Developer - Contract position - 20 hours a week to start, hours will increase in time. Contract length is indefinite.This is a REMOTE position working East Coast hours.Position OverviewWe are a solutions provider growing a new Low-Code Development practice. We are seeking two Contract Software Developers to join our team part-time (20 hours a week to start) which will grow to full time hours as the practice increases. One position is mid-level (2+ years Appian development experience) and a Senior Developer (3+ years Appian development experience.)Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications, ensuring quality and efficiency, particularly in Appian, the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dynamics) and other low code platforms.
- Work closely with senior developers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and contribute to solution design.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Contribute to an iterative development approach with continuous feedback and improvement.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues. Provide troubleshooting and support for software applications, collaborating with customers and support teams when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
- 2+ years of experience in Appian development, including the design, implementation, and deployment of Appian applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dynamics.
- Experience working in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, with a strong understanding of iterative development and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with other relevant programming languages, e.g., JASON, XML, HTML, Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript.
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, MariaDB, or NoSQL databases.
- Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable applications.
Certifications
- Appian Developer Certification is required.
- Certifications in other relevant programming languages, cloud platforms, or development methodologies are a plus.
