Job Summary

As the Contract Project Manager, you will be responsible for serving as the primary contact person for the Contractor and will have decision-making authority regarding system changes, budget approvals, and change requests

Job Description

We are looking for a Contract Project Manager to serve as the primary contact person for the Contractor and will have decision-making authority regarding system changes, budget approvals, and change requests. This position will be full-time and hybrid.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure the successful execution and delivery of the implementation project

  • Act as the primary contact person for the Contractor, facilitating communication and coordination

  • Make decisions on behalf of the Contractor related to system changes, budget approvals, and change requests

  • Manage the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the system

  • Ensure all project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align project goals with business objectives

  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior management

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations

  • Develop and maintain a Project Management Plan (PMP) for review and approval according to the implementation schedule

  • Develop and submit a Project Communications Plan for review and approval, addressing all formal and informal communications

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a Quality Management Plan (QMP) covering all aspects of the work

  • Oversee and manage all subcontractor work

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 recent years of relevant experience in project management, particularly in system implementation projects

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams

  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage budgets and change requests

  • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and other project management frameworks

  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks

  • Expertise in managing project budgets and forecasting financial needs

  • Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts with subcontractors

  • Ability to create and manage a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting Gantt charts to visualize project timelines

  • Understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) to identify the sequence of crucial steps that determine the project duration

  • Efficiently allocate resources to ensure tasks are completed on schedule

  • Strong skills in managing time effectively to keep the project on track

  • Expertise in implementing QC and QA procedures

  • Expertise in managing change and ensuring smooth transitions during project phases

  • Efficiently allocate and manage resources to ensure project success

  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve project goals

  • Use of performance metrics to track project progress and make data-driven decisions

  • Proficient in utilizing Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA for tracking work throughout the SDLC

  • Highly organized to manage project documentation and ensure compliance with standards

  • PMI, Project Management Professional (PMP) is required

Preferred:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), a plus

  • Experience with tolling systems or transportation infrastructure projects is a plus

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
