Contract Respiratory Therapist - RRTJob Summary:
- Collaborate with other team members of the medical team to define and execute best plan of care for a patient.
- Set up, manage, and maintain ventilator support for patients.
- Set up, manage, and maintain Bipap support for patients.
- Set up, manage, and maintain low flow and high flow systems.
- Draw, analyze, and interpret blood gases.
- Assist in intubations.
- Administer aerosol treatments.
- Suction patients, as needed.
- Perform EKG's.
- CPT therapy.
- Walking Oxygen test.
- Set up and educate patient on Incentive Spirometry.
Additionally, for day shift, RT's will also:
- Administer Pulmonary Function Testing.
- Administer Stress Testing.
- Perform EKG's on walk-in pts.
- Perform walk - in ABG's.
- Set up and apply Holter Monitors.
- Administer sputum inductions.
Qualifications:
- Active license through the state of Arkansas.
- NBRC (National Board of Respiratory Care) RRT credential required.
- Utilize professional judgement and rely on experience to execute the best level of care.
- BLS certification upon hire.
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
- NRP certification within one year of hire.
