Through running and walking, Atlanta Track Club motivates, inspires and engages the community to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. With more than 30,000 members, Atlanta Track Club is the second largest running organization in the United States. In addition to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race - the largest 10K in the world, the Publix Atlanta Marathon, the PNC Atlanta 10 Miler and the Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon, Atlanta Track Club directs more than 40 events and programs per year. Through the support of its members and volunteers, Atlanta Track Club also maintains a number of community initiatives including organizing and promoting its Kilometer Kids youth running program to metro Atlanta youth, honoring high school cross country and track and field athletes through Atlanta Track Club's All-Metro Banquets as well as developing an elite group of Olympic level athletes on their athletic journeys.Position Overview: Reporting to Senior Manager - Community Engagement & Volunteer Services, this temporary position will assist the volunteer team in the planning and execution of Atlanta Track Club's events and programs. This position will help drive volunteer logistics leading up to, on, and after event days. Responsibilities:•Volunteer & Crew Chief merchandise inventory before and after events•Assist in Volunteer Lead Crew Chief bag pick-ups •General reorganizing/sorting in any and all volunteer areas •Aid in the recruitment of volunteers•Lead crew chief and volunteers check-in on event site•Assist in breaking down event area •Assist in any volunteer inquiries throughout the event cycle•Mail out any items not received by volunteers •Volunteer & Crew Chief merchandise inventory•Maintain volunteer databaseRequirements•Excellent verbal and written communication.•Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.•Sound organizational skills and attention to detail.•Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.•Proven analytical and problem-solving experience.•Ability to function well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.•Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.•Reliable transportation.•Ability to work Monday - Friday, as well as evenings and weekends for events.Event Site and Physical Requirements•Assist on-site setup and break down at Atlanta Track Club events and programs.•Work with sponsors and other partners to ensure their on-site needs are met•Provide registration support, answer questions, and ensure smooth experiences for all stakeholders•Ensure that the event site is properly branded •Capture photos and videos of the event for use in social media and marketing materials•Ability to lift up to 50 poundsSalary Description $20 per hour
